RCB Makes History with Sixth Consecutive Away Win in IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 6 wickets in the 46th match of IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals. Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya's 119-run partnership took the team out of a difficult situation. The win was RCB's sixth consecutive win away from home, making them the first team to do so in the history of the league.
On Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the best win against Delhi Capitals in the 46th match of IPL 2025. The hosts set a target of 163 in front of RCB, chasing Bengaluru lost three consecutive wickets in the beginning. Jacob Bethel was the first to be dismissed, followed by Devdutt Padikkal and captain Rajat Patidar. After losing three wickets in the beginning, RCB looked in trouble but, Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya shared a 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket and helped the team achieve the target. By doing so, Royal Challengers registered their sixth consecutive win away from home in IPL 2025, and became the first team to do so in the history of the league.
This season RCB faced some problems on their home ground. They have won only one of those four matches, but away from home, the franchise has been completely undefeated. The 6-wicket win against Delhi was RCB's sixth consecutive win, which resulted in them topping the points table.
Talking about the match, Krunal Pandya played an unbeaten innings of 73 runs in 47 balls, thanks to which RCB won the best win. When RCB's score was 26-3, it seemed that the match could be missed by the visiting team, but the partnership of Kohli and Krunal gave the team victory. Tim David scored an unbeaten 19 off five balls to ensure victory with 9 balls remaining at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Kohli said about the Player of the Match, "Pandya can make that impact and we were just waiting for him to come with the bat in this tournament."
Krunal Pandya also performed well with his spin bowling in the match and took one wicket for 28 runs. Virat Kohli scored 51 off 47 balls. Krunal Pandya's innings included five fours and four sixes. This was Bengaluru's sixth consecutive win.
