Virat Kohli mocks KL Rahul with Kantara celebration after RCB's win
Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Capitals by six wickets after which Virat Kohli responded to KL Rahul's 'Kantara Celebration' in a funny way. Kohli hugged Rahul after the match and made it clear that his intention was only for a joke. With this win, RCB has reached the top of the points table.
In the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, RCB won by six wickets. After this victory, Virat Kohli gave a great reply to KL Rahul. RCB avenged their defeat in their home match against Delhi, where Rahul did a 'Kantara Celebration' after the Capitals' win. After losing to Delhi, Royal Challengers have now reached the top of the points table.
It all started with Rahul's celebrations in Bengaluru, who smashed an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls to lead Delhi Capitals to victory in April, after which he declared Chinnaswamy as his ground. On Sunday, Kohli did the same celebration after the win against Delhi. He celebrated the same in a funny way after the match and then soon hugged Rahul, confirming that he was actually just joking.
On Sunday, Virat scored his fifth half-century in IPL 2025. Now he has become the highest run-scorer in the tournament and has scored a total of 434 runs so far. In the match, Virat stayed till the end but was dismissed on the last ball of the 18th over. Kohli scored 51 runs in 47 balls which included 4 fours.
Talking about his slow-paced innings, Virat Kohli said, "I try not to stop my singles and doubles and keep hitting boundaries in between. This year you can't just come and bat, you have to assess conditions, understand them and then plan accordingly. "
Talking about the match, the host team had set a target of 162 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Porel made a quick start and scored 22 runs but was dismissed in the powerplay. Karun Nair could only score 4 runs. KL Rahul was the team's top scorer with 41 runs. However, Delhi could not set a big target and could only score 162 runs. In reply, Royal Challengers achieved the target in 18.3 overs. Krunal Pandya played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 73 runs in 47 balls and also took 1 wicket for 28 runs in 4 overs. Krunal was adjudged Player of the Match for this excellent performance.
