India's oilmeal exports increased by 3% in March 2025, standing at 409,148 tonnes. It was 395,382 tonnes in March last year. However, there has been an 11% decline in total exports during April 2024 to March 2025, mainly due to a decrease in the export of rapeseed meal and castorseed meal. However, Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal said exports have gone into a "positive cycle of growth", especially in the calendar year 2024.

The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) has released the export data of oilmeal exports for the month of March, 2025, which is provisionally reported at 409,148 tonnes, as compared to 395,382 tonnes in March, 2024, i.e., an increase of 3%. Total exports of oilmeal during April 24 to March 25 were reported to be 4,342,498 tonnes in volume terms. Exports have declined by 11% as compared to 4,885,437 tonnes during the corresponding period of last year, mainly due to decline in exports of rapeseed meal and castorseed cake and in value terms, Free On Board (FOB) declined from Rs. 15368.0 crore to Rs. 12171.0 crore, a decline of 21%.

India's oil mill exports grew 3% on a year-on-year basis in March. During this period, exports rose to 1.47 million barrels per day. This is the highest level of March in recent years. India's petroleum product exports also increased by 8.3% to 1.47 million barrels per day from 1.35 million barrels per day in March. According to data from global real-time data and analytics provider Kpler, India's petroleum product exports rose 8.3% to 1.47 million barrels per day (bpd) in March.
