Ingredients: 2 cups water, 1 teaspoon ginger (grated), 1 teaspoon basil leaves, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 teaspoon honey or lemon juice (according to taste)
Bring it to a boil by adding 2 cups of water to a pot
Incorporate ginger, basil leaves, black pepper, and cinnamon into boiling water.
Allow the mixture to simmer on medium heat for 10-15 minutes to ensure all the flavors meld together
Drain the prepared decoction through a sieve and drain it into a cup
Adjust the decoction to your taste by adding honey or lemon juice.
Consume the hot decoction; it helps alleviate cold and cough symptoms.
The leftover decoction can be kept in the refrigerator and used the following day.
