Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini described the 'One Nation, One Election' initiative as important for the development of India. He said the initiative will reduce election expenses and speed up development. In the marathon organized in Gurugram, CM Saini described it as an expression of collective resolve for national change.

On Sunday, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the 'One Nation, One Election' initiative would boost India's progress and cut down on costs associated with elections. While addressing a marathon held to back the proposal, CM Saini remarked that repeated elections hinder development and disrupt momentum.

Chief Minister Saini stated that this effort embodies Prime Minister Modi's goal to enhance governance efficiency and bolster democratic engagement nationwide. The marathon conducted in Gurugram sought to advocate for the concept of concurrent elections.

Chief Minister Saini emphasized that this event represents more than a mere race; it is a public demonstration of the shared determination for national transformation. He stated, "Today's race is primarily aimed at supporting the significant concept of 'One Nation, One Election'. It is not merely a marathon but a crucial stride towards change, a resolution, a movement."

He further said, "Today's program will give impetus to the idea of One Nation One Election. This idea is not just an issue of administrative convenience. It is an effort to further strengthen the democratic consciousness of India," he said. Highlighting the hurdles caused due to successive elections, CM Saini said that the state of Haryana had come into election mode on April 13, slowing down the pace of governance and development. "In Haryana, we have been in election mode since 13th April 2024. The pace of development stops. The vision of the Prime Minister is that we have to become a developed nation, so one nation one election will play an important role in it and the country will move forward at a fast pace. "

CM Saini added, 'This initiative will significantly cut costs and steer the country towards becoming a developed nation. We should all back this proposal. The Constitution Amendment Bill for 'One Nation, One Election', presently being evaluated by the JPC, suggests synchronizing the election timelines of the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
