US Deploys Military Aircraft: Tensions between the United States and Greenland are at their peak. Amidst this, Trump has repeatedly claimed he wants to acquire Greenland, and now the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD) has announced that its aircraft will soon arrive at the Thule Air Base in Greenland to support a series of long-planned NORAD activities. NORAD stated that these aircraft will join other assets operating from bases located in the continental United States and Canada. These activities further strengthen the enduring defence cooperation between the United States, Canada, and Kingdom of Denmark.

NORAD stated that the activity was coordinated with Denmark and that all participating forces have obtained the necessary diplomatic clearances, adding that the Greenland government had been informed of the planned activities. It regularly conducts continuous, dispersed operations in defence of North America through one or all of these three regions: Alaska, Canada, and the continental United States.

Royal Canadian Air Force contingent is already participating in the NORAD exercise in Greenland, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is considering deploying additional forces to participate in the Danish-led exercises, which may include drills focused on protecting critical infrastructure on the Arctic island.
Trump Tariff News

Meanwhile, European countries are hardening their stance amid growing condemnation across the continent after US President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on eight European countries to further his attempt to “acquire” Greenland, leading to calls for a strong, coordinated European response and the deployment of all countermeasures by the European Union.
