He expressed concern that the American film industry is rapidly declining, labeling it as a national security threat, and emphasized the need to resume film production in the US. Other countries are doing everything to drive our filmmakers and studios away from America. Hollywood and many other areas of the U.S. are being devastated. It is an organised effort by foreign countries and, therefore, is a threat to national security. It’s also a message and propaganda different from everything else!”
Trump also mentioned a 100 percent tariff in his post. “I am authorizing the Department of Commerce and the United States Trade Representative to immediately begin the process of imposing 100 percent tariffs on all films coming into our country that are made in foreign lands,” he wrote. We want movies to be made in America again!”
