Taliban Attack on Pakistan: As per the reports, tension is at its peak on the Afghan and Pakistani border as heavy firing is going on from both the sides. There has been reports of huge clashes between Pakistani army and Afghan forces after firing took place at several places on the Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. It is claimed that 12 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in this clash. This violent clash started when Taliban forces opened fire on several Pakistani border posts late on Saturday night.

The Pakistani army effectively targeted several Afghan border posts. He further stated that significant damage was reported to several Afghan posts and terrorist hideouts. The shelling occurred at several key checkpoints, including Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Baramcha in Balochistan.

Taliban fighters are wreaking havoc on the Pakistani army and claim to have killed 12 Pakistani soldiers. Meanwhile, five Pakistani soldiers have surrendered to the Islamic Emirate’s forces. They have also captured several Pakistani outposts and captured a Dehshika tank.

Taliban border forces said the clashes began after Kabul accused Islamabad of carrying out airstrikes on the Afghan capital earlier this week. “In response to Pakistani army airstrikes, Taliban border forces in the east are engaged in fierce clashes at Pakistani army posts in several border areas,” the Afghan army said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the former US Special Envoy for Afghanistan Peace Zalmay Khalilzad warned that Pakistan’s airstrikes on Kabul could trigger a broader conflict. Describing the operation as a failure, he urged diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.

The State of Qatar expressed concern over rising tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and the potential repercussions for regional security. In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged both sides to prioritize “dialogue, diplomacy, and restraint” to de-escalate the situation.
