The verdict spanning 453 pages is still being read, and the former leader’s sentence has yet to be announced. To date, Hasina has ignored court directives and has not returned to the South Asian nation to stand trial. Asaduzzaman remains on the run, while Mamun is in custody and has admitted to his involvement. Significantly, Mamun has become an approver, marking the first time an accused has done so since the tribunal’s creation in 2010.
