Saudi Arabia Bus Accident: The bus was on its way from Mecca to Madinah when crashed with a tanker around 1.30 am IST. Majority of the passengers travelling in the bus were residents of Hyderabad in Telangana.

According to the local media in Saudi Arabia, At least 42 people are feared to death after a bus collided with diesel tanker near madinah. The bus was carrying Umrah Pilgrims and many of them who died are believed to be Indian nationalists. It was reported that the bus was travelling from Mecca to Madinah when got crashed around 1.30 am IST near Mufrihat. Most of the passengers travelling in the bus were residents from Hyderabad in Telangana, As per Khaleej times reports.
According to a Gulf News report, Many passengers were sleeping at the time of incident, which prevented them to leave the bus and bus got burst into flames after this collision. reports proves that 11 women and 10 children were among the victims and authorities are still verifying the numbers.
Saudi Arabia Bus Accident: Owaisi Reacts on Incident

Asaduddin Owaisi, MP of Hyderabad stated that, 42 Umrah pilgrims were on the bus when it caught fire. he is in touch with Aby Mathen George, Deputy chief of mission (DCM) at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, who assured Owaisi that they are gathering information about the accident. According to the reports, 16 Umrah Pilgrims who were travelling through two Hyderabad-based agencies, Al-Meena Hajj and Umrah Travels were part of peoples killed in the devastating incident occurred due to bus collision.
Owaisi is also requesting the central governments to bring bodies back to India and provide proper medical treatment to the victims got injured.
Telangana CM directs urgent action
A. Revanth Reddy Chief Minister of Telangana expressed shock over the incident, and noticing that some of the citizens may be assumed to be from Hyderabad. He has instructed the chief secretary and director general of police, to collect the entire details an determine how many Telangana residents are affected in the incident, and to coordinate with Union Mistry of external Affairs and the Saudi embassy. He also informed public that immediate relief help will be provided if needed. A control room has been setup at the Telangana Secretariat to provide assistance for the families of the victims.
Foreign Minister Reacts

S. Jaishankar, foreign minister said, he was in shock after knowing about the accident, involving Indian nationals in Madinah. Posted on X, Our embassy in Riyadh and Consulate in Jeddah are giving their full support to the families and to Indian nationals affected by the accident. Deepest sympathies to the grieving families, hoping for quick recovery of those who are injured.
