Russian President India Visit: Delhi is on high alert and security arrangements are fully tight ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s two-day visit starting from 4th December. Authorities have mobilised several security agencies and established an extensive security throughout the city to guarantee India-Russia relations. This visit, seen as a significant diplomatic event, which will focus on strengthening India-Russia ties, with key discussions included on trade, defence and energy cooperation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is visiting India. His visit is scheduled for December 4-5, 2025. During this visit, Putin will spend a total of 30 hours in India. This will be his first visit to India since the Russo-Ukrainian War. The previous Russian President visited India in 2021. Putin’s visit coincides with 25th anniversary of the India-Russia strategic partnership. He will participate in the Russia-India Summit, which will be the 23rd bilateral summit. This meeting is being closely watched not only by both countries but by the entire world.

Putin is visiting India for two days, whereas his stay is expected to last approximately 30 hours. The Russian President will arrive in Delhi on Thursday evening, December 4th, where he will be hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India will begin with his arrival at Delhi Airport on December 4, 2025, at 6 p.m. Several important private meetings have been scheduled for him following his arrival. A private dinner will be held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Putin that evening. On December 5, at 9:30 a.m., a formal welcome ceremony will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, after which he will pay homage at Rajghat. Following this, limited-scale talks will take place at the designated venue.

In the afternoon, bilateral and delegation-level discussions will take place at Hyderabad House, including a lunch with delegations from both countries, likely to include business leaders. After the lunch, agreements will be formally announced, followed by a press statement by both leaders. An India-Russia Business Forum will be held in the afternoon or evening, where both leaders are expected to participate. Rajya Bhoj will be hosted by the President in Putin’s honour at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Following this, Putin will depart India.
