PM Modi Bhutan Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for a two-day visit to Bhutan today. This visit is to strengthen energy partnership and expressed confidence that will strengthen bilateral relations. During this, PM Modi said that he will visit the Kingdom of Bhutan from 11-12 November 2025. It will be an honour for him to celebrate the 70th birth anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth King with the people of Bhutan. Let us tell you that this visit is taking place on the occasion of the exhibition of the sacred Piprahwa relics of Lord Buddha brought from India.

PM Modi said, “that the display of the sacred Piprahwa relics of Lord Buddha from India during the Global Peace Prayer Festival in Bhutan reflects the deep civilizational and spiritual ties between our two countries. This visit will mark another major milestone in our successful energy partnership with the inauguration of the Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project. He also looks forward to meeting the King of Bhutan, His Majesty the Fourth King and Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay. PM Modi said that I am confident that my visit will further strengthen the bonds of our friendship and strengthen our efforts towards shared progress and prosperity.

Prime Minister Modi said that India and Bhutan enjoy exemplary relations of friendship and cooperation, based on deep mutual trust, understanding, and goodwill. Our partnership is a key pillar of our Neighbourhood First policy and a model of exemplary friendly relations between neighbouring countries. Prime Minister Modi visited Bhutan on his first foreign trip after assuming office in 2014. In August 2019, PM Modi paid a state visit to Bhutan after assuming office for his second term.

India and Bhutan have a unique and exemplary partnership, based on deep mutual trust, goodwill, and respect for each other.
