Pakistan Emergency Meeting: Delhi blast that occurred on Monday has shivered not only the national capital but the entire nation. Following the explosion, the neighbouring country Pakistan has called an emergency meeting. Alarmed by the blast, Pakistan has increased the border security and its fighter jets have started patrolling the Rajasthan Border.

The blast took place near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station at 6:52 PM approx. According to reports, the fire brigade received information about the incident at 6:55 pm. As per the reports, the explosion has killed 8 people and over 20 are reported to be injured.
Pakistan Emergency Meeting: Shehbaz Sharif calls NSA
According to reports, Pakistan’s three armed forces also held an emergency meeting after the Delhi incident. PM Shehbaz Sharif later discussed this issue late into the night with the NSA and DG ISI.
Pakistan Emergency Meeting: Delhi Red Fort Bomb Blast
The blast took place in a Hyundai i20 car near the Red Fort Metro Station. As per the authorities, the Hyundai i20 car had been sold to a Pulwama resident of Jammu and Kashmir who lived in Faridabad, allegedly on forged documents. The blast came hours after Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered nearly 3,000 kg of explosives from two residential buildings in Faridabad in Haryana.
Meanwhile, the Haryana Police raided the Al Falah University in Dhauj, Faridabad in relation to the Red Fort blast that took place on Monday evening. One of the two doctors arrested yesterday in relation to the blast, Muzammil, was a teacher at the university.
On the other hand, the US Embassy has advised its citizens in India to maintain distance from the Red Fort area and other crowded tourist spots and to remain vigilant. Concurrently, the British Foreign Ministry has also issued a warning, advising its citizens not to travel to areas within 10 kilometres of the India-Pakistan border.
