Middle East Travel Advisory: The Middle East has been engulfed in flames of war following airstrikes by the US and Israel on several Iranian cities on February 28, targeting military command centres, air defence systems, missile sites, and key regime bases. These attacks killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, and senior military and security officials. Iran retaliated by attacking US assets and military bases across the region, including Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan, with ballistic missiles and drones. Meanwhile, the US has urged 12 countries to evacuate their citizens.

US has issued an advisory urging American citizens in more than 12 Middle Eastern countries to leave immediately due to serious security risks after Iran targeted US military bases in several countries, as tensions escalated following US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran, as well as Tehran’s retaliatory attacks against US allies in the Gulf. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, “To all American citizens living in the Middle East, your safety is our top priority.”
