More than 52,000 Indians returned between March 1 and 7

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, following the partial reopening of airspace in the region over the past few days, Indian and foreign airlines have resumed operating commercial flights, including some non-scheduled flights.
Between March 1 and 7, 2026, more than 52,000 Indian citizens have safely returned to India from the Gulf region via these flights. Of these, 32,107 passengers travelled on Indian airlines. Plans are underway to resume more flights in the coming days.
Advice to contact embassy in countries where flights are not available
Ministry of External Affairs has also advised that Indian citizens in countries where commercial flights are not currently available should contact their respective Indian embassy or consulate for information on the nearest available flight options.
