According to Turkish media reports, one attacker was captured alive, having sustained injuries during the incident. Meanwhile, the three individuals who were killed have been identified. It is reported that all of them had travelled to Istanbul from the city of Izmit in a rented vehicle. The remaining two attackers were brothers; one of them was found to have a criminal record involving drug-related offences.
