Imran Khan, PIMS Hospital: Received second dose of the anti-VEGF injection

In response, he was taken from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) at 12:30 a.m. last night. Imran Khan, who is suffering from central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) in his right eye, was administered a second dose of an anti-VEGF injection.
This dose of injection into Imran Khan’s right eye was administered by Dr. Nadeem Qureshi, a retina specialist at Al Shifa Eye Hospital in Rawalpindi, and Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan, head of the ophthalmology department at PIMS, in the operating theater at PIMS.
Imran Khan Eye Treatment: Suffering from high blood sugar

Imran Khan, 73, has been suffering from high blood pressure. Reportedly, he has been suffering from high blood pressure since July last year, and Pakistan’s government-run PIMS (Public Health and Family Medicine) informed that Khan underwent an ECG and Echocardiography (ECG) test before receiving an eye injection, which were deemed normal.
However, PIMS did not provide details as to why Khan underwent an ECG and Echocardiography (ECG) test to assess his heart when he was scheduled to receive an eye injection today.
Furthermore, the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) also reported that Khan was discharged after receiving the necessary recommendations. Earlier this month, when the Pakistani Supreme Court appointed Barrister Salman Safdar as amicus curiae to provide information on Khan’s condition, Safdar informed the court that Khan had only 15% vision in his right eye.
Imran Khan News: What is the opposition’s demand?

Opposition leaders also demanded that Imran Khan undergo a full medical examination under the supervision of his personal doctors. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja stated that the party does not trust the government medical report. He stated that “his entire body, not just his eyes, should be examined.”
Senate Opposition Leader Allama Raza Naseer Abbas and PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja participated in the protest. Chief Whip Aamir Dogar, National Assembly Members (MNAs) Ali Mohammad Khan and Shahid Khattak, and Provincial Assembly Members (MPAs) Shafiullah Jan and Muhammad Hussain, among other leaders, also joined the demonstration.
According to an X-post by the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Ain-e-Pakistan (TTPA), the protesters demanded that Imran Khan undergo a full medical examination through personal doctors. They urged the government to take steps, including allowing Imran Khan’s family and doctors to meet him.
