G20 Summit 2026: US President Donald Trump has said that South Africa will not be invited to the 2026 G20 summit, announcing the decision and sharply criticising the South African government for what he called horrific human rights abuses. Trump wrote that the United States did not attend the G20 in South Africa because the South African government refused to acknowledge and address the horrific human rights abuses suffered by Afrikaners and other descendants of Dutch, French and German immigrants.

Trump stated that Africans are killing white people and expropriating their farmlands. He also criticized major US media outlets for not reporting on this issue. “That’s why all the liars and hypocrites in the radical left-wing media are going out of business!”

Trump explained that at the conclusion of G20, South Africa refused to hand over the G20 presidency to a senior representative of our US Embassy who attended the closing ceremony. “Therefore, at my direction, South Africa will not receive an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted in Miami, Florida, next year. Furthermore, the US will cease financial assistance to South Africa.”

Trump has taken the significant decision of excluding South Africa from the G-20 and not inviting, criticizing it by saying, “Africa has shown the world that it is unworthy of membership, and we are going to stop all payments and subsidies to them, effective immediately.” This is being considered a major blow to Africa.
