Due to the current situation and travel restrictions in several Middle Eastern countries, including Abu Dhabi, guests who have travelled to those countries are unable to travel on their check-out dates. These guests are forced to stay in hotels for additional days. There is no coordination between the hotels and the public regarding this.

Daily hotel stays are becoming a drain on travellers, leading Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism to request hotels to extend these guests’ stays until they are able to travel.

The advisory also states that the department will cover the cost of extended stays, ensuring that both guests and hotels do not suffer financial losses. This advisory is issued to facilitate guests stranded due to travel restrictions and to coordinate the hotel industry.
