BLA vs Pakistan Army: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed to have seized a Pakistani army camp in the Ahmed Wal area of Balochistan’s Nushki district, asserting its growing influence in the region. Earlier, the organisation had claimed to have captured a local military base in the Galangur area of the province. This marks the fifth consecutive day of BLA’s ongoing ‘Operation Heroof’. During this period, internet and train services have been disrupted in several parts of the province, and major public events have also been affected.

According to local residents, loud explosions and continuous gunfire were heard in several parts of the city, further intensifying the fear among citizens already confined to their homes. Locals alleged that densely populated areas were being targeted, increasing the likelihood of civilian casualties. However, due to strict restrictions and disruptions to communication services, these claims were difficult to independently verify. According to the organisation, attacks were carried out in Quetta, Nushki, and at least 12 other cities in Balochistan.

Since the start of the second phase of Operation Heroff on January 31, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed to have killed and wounded numerous Pakistani soldiers. Following retaliatory actions from both sides, approximately 250 people have been killed, and Baloch fighters have unleashed a fierce offensive, leaving the Pakistani army seemingly helpless. In a statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch described it as a “declaration of decisive resistance,” stating that the new phase of Operation Heroff is directed against the “occupying state and all its military and administrative structures.”
