Argentina Train Accident: A train accident has occurred in the capital of Argentina. More than 20 people are reported to be injured in this train accident. The accident occurred near Liniers railway station in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Where a slow-moving train suddenly gets derailed.
Three carriages of the Sarmiento Line passenger train derailed. Train service on this entire route has come to a halt since the accident. According to the reports, said that this accident occurred due to a fault in the interlocking system.
Argentina Train Accident: How did the train accident happened?
The interlocking system controls the track switches. Due to a fault, the train’s wheels slipped off the tracks despite moving at a slow speed, derailing three carriages occurred.
Passengers trapped in the carriages were rescued
The train accident caused widespread panic. Many passengers were trapped inside the train carriage. Upon receiving information, a fire brigade team arrived at the scene and rescued all passengers. The injured passengers were admitted to the hospital. Following the accident, the railway administration has suspended train services between Castellar and Morena stations.
20 Passengers were injured in the train accident
The railway administration stated that 20 passengers were injured in the incident. Of these, 11 were treated immediately on the spot. Nine others are currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. The exact cause of the accident is still being investigated.
