400 Flights Cancelled in Europe: Heavy snowfall and cold weather have made travel very difficult in Europe. More than 400 flights have been cancelled or delayed so far. French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said that more snowfall is expected in the country on Tuesday night and Wednesday. He urged people to travel as little as possible on the roads and to work from home. France’s national weather service announced that an orange alert for snowfall would be issued in 38 departments on Wednesday. Several train services and flights were cancelled in parts of the country.

In Paris, approximately 40% of flights will be cancelled at Charles de Gaulle Airport on Wednesday morning to allow staff to clear snow from the runways. A quarter of flights will also be cancelled at Orly Airport during the same period.
At Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, more than 400 flights were cancelled on Wednesday, disrupting passengers’ travel plans. According to Dutch broadcaster NOS, nearly 600 flights departing from Schiphol have also been cancelled. Hundreds of passengers are stranded, and many have missed their connecting flights. People are standing in long queues at airline counters, waiting for information on when flights will resume. Many of the cancelled flights were operated by Dutch airline KLM, which has warned that it is running low on DE-icing fluid for its aircraft.
Indian Embassy receives requests for assistance from stranded passengers

Several Indian citizens are also stranded at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport due to heavy snowfall. The severe cold weather in the Netherlands has led to numerous flight cancellations and delays, and has also disrupted road transport. Indian passengers are seeking assistance from the Indian Embassy and consular officials in The Hague for rebooking, accommodation, food, and travel guidance.
