US VP Vance calls for balanced Indian response to Pahalgam Attack
US Vice President J.D. Vance said that India should respond to the Pahalgam terror attack in a way that does not lead to a regional war. He hoped that Pakistan will work with India against terrorists.
US Vice President J D Vance emphasized that India's response to the terror incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, should avoid escalating into a regional conflict. He also expressed his hope that Pakistan would work with India to apprehend terrorists based on Pakistani territory and take measures against them.
In an interview with Fox News, JD Vance reacted to the Pahalgam attack, saying, "We hope that India will respond to this terrorist attack in a way that does not lead to a wider regional conflict."
"We expect Pakistan, if in any way, to be responsible," he said. So together with India, it will cooperate in catching terrorists and taking strict action against them. The statement comes at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan are rising rapidly after the Pahalgam terror attack.
The Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir killed 26 people, and is considered to be the biggest terror attack after the 2019 Pulwama attack. J.D. Vance and his family were on a four-day visit to India when the attack took place. JD Vance had met with PM Modi and also visited Jaipur.
