President of India meets Parliamentary delegation from Armenia
On Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu met with a parliamentary delegation from Armenia, highlighting the importance of regular parliamentary dialogue in enhancing bilateral relations. In a post on X, Rashtrapati Bhavan stated, 'A parliamentary delegation from the Republic of Armenia, headed by Her Excellency Mr. Alan Simonyan, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, visited President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.'
According to the President, frequent parliamentary exchanges are crucial for improving the comprehension of each other's governance frameworks and legislation, thereby bolstering the bilateral relationship. Last week, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had a meeting with Armenia's Ambassador to India, Vahgan Afyan, in New Delhi.

Jaishankar mentioned that they explored methods to enhance India-Armenia collaboration. In a post on X, Jaishankar expressed, 'Pleased to welcome Armenian Ambassador Vahgan Afyan to New Delhi today. Discussed further bolstering the enduring cooperation between India and Armenia.'
Trilateral Discussions Conducted Between India, Iran, and Armenia
The second round of trilateral consultations between India, Iran, and Armenia took place on Thursday, where they talked about various topics such as connectivity projects, involvement in multilateral organizations, and regional developments, according to a press release from the Ministry of External Affairs. The discussions were led by India's Joint Secretary of the Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran Division, J P Singh, along with delegations from Iran and Armenia.

From the Iranian side, Hashem Ashza Zadeh, Director General of the South Asia Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, led the discussions; Meanwhile, Armenia was represented by Anahit Karapetyan, head of the Asia-Pacific department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
