The Indian Army's Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) announced on Saturday that the joint military exercise Harimau Shakti 2024 between India and Malaysia is set to occur from December 2 to December 15 at Bentong Camp in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

In a formal announcement on X, the Army stated that the exercise is intended to enhance the collaboration between the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army for executing sub-conventional operations under the United Nations mandate.

The focus of this year's joint military exercise is 'Two nations, one mission: Promoting global peace.'

Exercise Harimau Shakti aims to enhance the ability of the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army to work together in carrying out sub-conventional operations under the UN mandate, according to the ADGPI's post.

In 2023, a collaborative training exercise took place in India at the Umroi Cantonment in Meghalaya. The Malaysian Army was represented by soldiers from the 5th Royal Battalion, and the Indian forces included a battalion from the Rajput Regiment.

The objective of 'Exercise Harimau Shakti' is to enhance defence collaboration between the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army, and to strengthen the bilateral ties between India and Malaysia.

The 13th edition of the Agni Warrior 2024 bilateral joint military exercise between the Indian Army and the Singapore Armed Forces concluded on Saturday at the Field Firing Ranges in Devlali, Maharashtra.

The three-day drill saw involvement from the Singapore Armed Forces, comprising 182 members from the Singapore Artillery, and the Indian Army, featuring 114 personnel from the Regiment of Artillery.

The exercise was designed to enhance mutual comprehension of drills and procedures to function cohesively as a multinational force under the United Nations Charter. It highlighted joint firepower planning, execution, and the utilization of new-generation equipment by the artillery units of both armies.

The event was organized by Lieutenant General Adosh Kumar, Director General of Artillery; Lieutenant General NS Sarna, Commandant of the School of Artillery; and Colonel Ong Chiou Perng, Chief Artillery Officer of the Singapore Armed Forces.
