The administration has also expressed its full support for Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt stated that Trump had distanced himself from Epstein long ago. She said, “The President has always stood by his words. He expelled Jeffrey Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club because, frankly, Epstein’s behaviour was inappropriate.”

Levitt also stated that Trump had completely severed his ties with Epstein several years ago and has long spoken openly and candidly about this. Recently, new documents have surfaced, detailing an alleged conversation between Trump and the Palm Beach police chief in the early 2000s. Levitt stated that this was a phone call, which may or may not have happened, and he doesn’t have any definitive information. He reiterated that Trump had expelled Epstein from his club, and this remains true today.
