According to a report by the news portal Politico, the American delegation may be led by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. The Russian side is likely to be led by Kirill Dmitriev, who is considered an envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Trump administration has been engaged in continuous intensive discussions with Ukraine and its European partners in recent days. They want to make President Donald Trump’s proposal acceptable to all parties and bring an end to this war. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the final proposal will be ready in a few days and will then be submitted to Russia.

Trump’s proposal offers Ukraine NATO-like security but faces major hurdles, including Russia’s demand for the Donbas region. Ukraine rejects ceding territory, instead proposing to freeze front lines. Despite efforts, Zelenskyy warns of continued war, as Russia refuses to return occupied territories and rejects NATO peacekeepers.
