The fire reportedly started at a facility located on 1st Magistralny Tupik. Preliminary information suggests the flames rapidly spread to the fourth floor, where the hostel is situated. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the upper windows as firefighters battled to contain the blaze.

Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the fire, and it remains unclear how quickly it escalated through the building.

Moscow Hostel Fire: Trapped Occupants Attempt Desperate Escape

Eyewitnesses described chaotic and frightening scenes as people inside the hostel shouted for help from the windows. In a desperate attempt to survive, some occupants were seen throwing mattresses and other items out of the windows, reportedly preparing to jump from the fourth floor to escape the flames.

Initial reports indicated that at least ten individuals were inside the building when the fire broke out, raising serious concerns about potential injuries or fatalities.

Rescue Operation Underway

Firefighters and emergency rescue teams arrived swiftly at the scene and immediately began evacuation and containment efforts. Authorities confirmed that at least seven people had been rescued from the building as crews continued searching for anyone still trapped inside.
