A video showing inappropriate behavior by a young couple inside the train near Ghaziabad’s Modinagar area has gone viral on social media, triggering concern and criticism from both the public and the authorities.

According to reports, the incident took place near Modinagar North Station, where CCTV cameras installed inside the train coach captured the entire episode. The footage shows a young man and woman seated together. At the time, the train was relatively empty, with no other passengers nearby. Taking advantage of the situation, the pair allegedly violated public decorum and crossed the limits of acceptable behavior in a public space.
The CCTV footage soon went viral on social media. Four short video clips from the incident circulated rapidly across various platforms, triggering widespread outrage. Many users strongly criticized the conduct and called for strict action against such behavior on public transport.

Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Train Viral Video: NCRTC begins investigation
Taking the seriousness of the incident into account, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has ordered a detailed investigation. An NCRTC spokesperson stated that the CCTV footage related to the incident is being carefully reviewed. The individuals involved will be identified, and strict legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
Officials further clarified that the incident occurred last month, but the video surfaced recently after someone recorded it on a mobile phone and shared it on social media. Authorities are also probing how the footage was leaked and who was responsible for making it public.
Action taken against the employee
An NCRTC spokesperson confirmed that departmental action has already been initiated against an employee for negligence in connection with the incident. However, the investigation remains ongoing, and further action will be taken as required. To prevent such occurrences in the future, NCRTC is also planning to roll out an awareness campaign.
As part of this initiative, passengers will be educated about acceptable conduct and the rules governing public spaces. Officials have urged commuters to uphold discipline and decorum while using public transport, warning that any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated on modern train services such as the Namo Bharat Express.
