Amir openly describe it as a deepfake generated clip which has no basis with reality. She condemned that this incident as a serious act of cyber-crime and online harassment, stressing that such content should not be motivated and dismissed as harmless entertainment. According to her, these attacks represent a severe form of abuse while designed to defame individuals especially women in the digital surrounding.
After this video spread widely and even got surfaced in her own comment section of social media accounts, Amir chose to break her silence. She urged social media users to verify the authenticity before sharing the content further. Amir also directly appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, asking them for strict action against those responsible for creating and circulating AI-generated video.
Through this bold move, she announced a monetary rewards for anyone who could provide her credible information relating to the identification and arrest of those involved. She further made this clear that legal action would be pursued, laying stress that accountability is essential to prevent similar attacks in the future.
Alina Amir’s Statement in her Defence
Alina stated, “I was expecting to avoid speaking publicly about this matter over the past week, but when I saw false posts claiming my video had been leaked, I felt it was necessary to respond.” She also emphasised that video is AI-generated. She highlighted that how quickly misinformation spreads online, that damages reputation of a person before it can be verified or fact-checked.
Regarding this viral clip, she appealed to the public for taking responsibility by checking the authenticity of content before sharing it further. According to her, anyone can distinguish between real and fake videos if they apply simple common sense and caution.
