Petrol Diesel Rate Hike Reason

CNG has become costlier twice in Delhi. Prices have been increased by ₹1 per kilogram. This is the second increase within just two days, further increasing the burden of fuel costs on passengers in the Delhi-NCR region. Earlier on Friday, CNG prices had been increased by ₹2 per kilogram.

This rise in fuel prices has come amid increasing tensions in West Asia and the continuous blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important energy trade routes. Nearly one-fifth of global oil and gas trade passes through this sea route, and due to supply disruptions, international crude oil prices have risen sharply.
