If the ICC and BCCI prize money are combined, it exceeds ₹158 crore. Thus, combined, Team India will receive this prize money. However, this entire amount will not only be given to the Indian team players but will also be distributed among the support staff.
Sharing the release on social media, the board wrote, “The BCCI has announced a cash prize of ₹131 crore for Team India following their impressive victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.”
