However, according to the latest updates, this amount has been increased to approximately ₹158 crore.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a cash prize of ₹131 crore for Team India on Tuesday (March 10). The Indian board announced this in a post. If the ICC and BCCI prize money are combined, it exceeds ₹158 crore. Thus, combined, Team India will receive this prize money. However, this entire amount will not only be given to the Indian team players but will also be distributed among the support staff.
Sharing the release on social media, the board wrote, “The BCCI has announced a cash prize of ₹131 crore for Team India following their impressive victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.”
