Triumph 350cc Bike Launch: Focusing on calculated move, while following new GST regulations, Bajaj Auto plans to launch Triumphs 350cc motorcycles this April. Putting this model below 350cc tax bracket to offer public more attractive pricing in India’s premium motorcycle segment.
Bajaj Auto is all gearing to bring up mark a new phase in its partnership with Triumph, whereas the company confirms its debut of a news line of Triumph 350cc motorcycles in India this April. This confirmation came directly from Managing Director and CEO Rajiv Bajaj in an interview, highlighting a strategic adjustment aimed on context of updated GST regulations.

Triumph Motorcycles is preparing to launch its new sub-350 cc bike lineup in the Indian market. Now, a new update has emerged regarding this new series. The company’s Indian partner, Bajaj Auto, had already confirmed the project, and now senior company officials have clarified the launch timeline. It is believed that this new range is being developed with Indian customers in mind, further strengthening the company’s hold in the entry-level premium segment.
Triumph 350cc Bike Launch: Preparations for launch by April

This transition is not expected to be merely a scaled-down version of the existing engine. Instead, the upcoming motorcycles are likely to feature reworked power mapping, adjusted gear ratios, and potential mechanical refinements to preserve the smooth yet spirited performance that defines the Triumph brand. Bajaj and Triumph have already shown their capability to create distinct riding experiences from a shared platform, as demonstrated by the differently tuned motorcycles in the current 400cc portfolio.
Previously, Bajaj Auto’s Executive Director, Rakesh Sharma, indicated that the company is updating its portfolio to accommodate the new tax structure. Increasing focus on smaller engine capacity motorcycles is believed to be part of the company’s strategy following the new GST slab announced in September 2025.
Biggest change will be in engine

This most significant change in the newly launching Triumph 350cc series will be engine type. According to the reports, company may replace the current 398cc engine with a smaller engine, with a cubic capacity below. This reduced engine capacity may also impact the bike’s performance.
While current Triumph 400 range produces approximately 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque, the new 350cc bikes are expected to have slightly lower power and torque. However, the company will strive to balance performance and riding experience.
Triumph 350cc Bike Features: There will be no major compromises on features
Despite the smaller engine, the new range is expected to be quite modern in terms of features. According to reports, many of the premium features found in Triumph’s 400 series are also expected to be offered in the new 350cc motorcycles. These will include elements such as modern design, advanced technology, and improved riding comfort.
Colours & Specifications: Will it replace 400cc model or will it be sold alongside it?

The biggest question at the moment is whether new 350cc series will replace the existing 400cc models or whether both lineups will be available in the market simultaneously. The company has not yet provided any official information on this matter. It is also expected that more emphasis will be placed on the sales of 350cc models in India, while production of the 400cc series will continue for export markets. This will allow the company to tailor its strategy to the needs of different markets.
India becomes Production Hub for Triumph’s entry range
India has become a key hub for the production of Triumph’s entry-level motorcycles. Currently, the Triumph 400 series bikes are being manufactured at Bajaj Auto‘s Chakan plant in Maharashtra. The new 350cc range is also expected to be produced there.
Overall, Triumph’s new 350cc motorcycle lineup could be a major step towards providing premium yet affordable options in the Indian market. All eyes are now on its official launch and pricing.
