Tesla Charging Stations: Tesla's entry into India marks significant strides in expanding its presence in the electric vehicle sector. The company has inaugurated its first charging station at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Notably, Tesla officially entered the Indian market on June 15, 2025, with the opening of its first showroom at Maker Maxity Mall in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.

Tesla plans to explore the Indian market and establish a foundation for its high-end electric vehicles in one of the globe's rapidly expanding automotive sectors. Notably, Tesla's ultra-fast charging station can power a car in just 14 minutes, providing a range of 300 kilometers. This charger is designed to charge the vehicle at an impressive speed.
How much will it cost?
You might assume that rapid car charging would be more expensive. However, we want to inform you that superfast charger options are available.
Charging with a 250KWH supercharger will cost Rs 24 per kilowatt.
Charging with an 11KWH supercharger will cost Rs 14 per kilowatt.
Charging a TESLA vehicle completely using these rapid chargers will range from Rs 1200 to Rs 2000. When compared to petrol and diesel, electric vehicles are considerably more cost-effective.
Tesla Model Y Vehicle
Tesla has launched the Model Y vehicle in India, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 59.89 lakh. It comes in two versions: the first is a rear-wheel drive model equipped with a 60 kWh battery offering a 500 km range, and the second is a long-range rear-wheel drive variant featuring a 75 kWh battery that provides up to 622 km on a single charge.
