WhatsApp unveils new Status Sharing Feature: How it works
Whatsapp has introduced a new status sharing feature which is similar to Instagram's Stories feature. Users can now allow status sharing via the tooltip. Keeping privacy in mind, numbers and names will not be shared during status sharing.
WhatsApp is widely utilized on smartphones, with a significant user base in India as well. The app frequently rolls out updates and new features tailored for its users. Recently, WhatsApp has launched a feature that pertains to the updating and resharing of status updates. This allows users to determine whether their status can be shared or not.
How will the new feature work?
WhatsApp's latest feature now closely resembles Instagram. Similar to sharing stories on Instagram, WhatsApp users can now share their status with others using a tooltip. To ensure user privacy, there will be a toggle option in WhatsApp. If users activate this, only then can others share their status.
Privacy will be taken care of
This new feature allows users to share their status, while ensuring privacy by not altering the shared status. The user's name will remain confidential, and only the status can be shared and forwarded. Other crucial information will be safeguarded to maintain user privacy.
