MG Windsor EV Wins Green Car of the Year 2025, BMW i5 Runner-Up

The prestigious Indian Car of the Year Award is organized every year. At ICOTY 2025, a panel of 21 distinguished members evaluated the contenders for the Green Car of the Year 2025 title. The MG EV car Windsor achieved a score of 157 points and was Awarded the Green Car of the Year 2025 title. Many big contenders participated in this competition. It included strong contenders like Tata Punch, BMW, Mini Countryman Electric Vehicle, and BYD. However, the top position was secured by the MG Windsor EV, while BMW's i5 came in second.

BMW's i5 is the Runner-Up

In the prestigious Indian Car of the Year Award, BMW's i5 scored 99 points and was the first runner-up car. The ex-showroom price of BMW's i5 car is 1.20 crore in the Indian market. The second runner-up was the BYD Seal car, the BYD Seal car scored 87 points. The ex-showroom price of the BYD Seal sedan car starts at Rs 41 lakh.

MG Windsor EV Is Best-Selling Car

MG's Windsor EV was introduced to the Indian market on September 11, 2024. The Windsor EV has created a significant impact since its launch, selling 10,000 units in just about three months. The MG Windsor EV is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. Prices range from Rs 14 lakh to Rs 16 lakh. The Windsor EV features a 38kWh battery with a claimed range of 332km.
