OnePlus Watch 3 to Feature Rotating Crown; More Details Here
The upcoming OnePlus Watch is anticipated to be released in the next few months, and it's likely that the OnePlus Watch 3 will feature a rotating crown, which was absent in the previous model.
The OnePlus Watch 2 represented a significant improvement over the previous model, primarily because OnePlus provided users with a comprehensive Wear OS smartwatch featuring excellent battery life. A leak from SmartPrix suggests that the OnePlus Watch 3 will follow a similar approach.
According to this report, the OnePlus Watch 3 will not undergo any major design changes, as indicated by some recreated images of the device's prototype.
Interestingly, the OnePlus Watch 2R, released midway through the product cycle, shares fewer similarities with the Watch 2 compared to the Watch 3. The most significant update in the OnePlus Watch 3 is reportedly the inclusion of a rotating digital crown.
The rotating crown on the OnePlus Watch 2 was non-functional in the UI, which left everyone disappointed. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved in the new Watch.
Additional modifications to the OnePlus Watch 3 feature an enhanced heart rate sensor with ECG support and possible LTE compatibility.
The updated version is expected to feature Wear OS 5, indicating that the Watch 2 and 2R will receive the update eventually. The specifications are nearly the same, including the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, along with the option to use RTOS with Wear OS to enhance battery life. The report specifies the battery as "500+ mAh".
The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2025, although the exact date is unknown. The OnePlus 13 series is set to be launched on January 7, but there is no sign that these new smartphones will be launched alongside smartwatches.
