Apple Watch Ultra 3: Leaked Features with Huge Upgrade
Apple Watch Ultra 3 will launch in 2025
Apple's next-generation Ultra smartwatch is set to offer cutting-edge features and extra durability. However, the company has not yet given official confirmation about its look, which is awaited.
Apple's next flagship smartwatch, the Watch Ultra 3, is expected to feature satellite texting and blood pressure monitoring. A new report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman now claims that the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3 may include a blood pressure monitoring feature and a feature to send texts via satellite, just like the latest iPhones.
Apple Watch Ultra: Details
In a new report by Bloomberg, Mark Gurman, citing internal sources, has confirmed that Apple will add support for satellite messaging and blood pressure monitors to next year's Watch Ultra 3. Initially limited to emergency messages, the satellite connectivity feature has been extended to iOS 18 to make it easier to send texts even in remote locations. However, adding blood pressure monitoring would be a big step forward in the Apple Watch's health data tracking capabilities.
Apple Watch Series with New Features
Currently, Apple Watch series devices already feature heart rate monitoring, ECG readings, and fall detection. However, the first iteration of this feature is not expected to yield accurate systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings.
Instead, it will focus on blood pressure readings and warn users about potential high blood pressure risks. Gurman also said that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will come with a MediaTek modem instead of the current Intel. These new modems will reportedly include support for 5G redcaps for advanced connectivity. We can expect the Watch Ultra 3 to launch in September 2025 along with the next iPhone series.
