Facebook Account Recovery: No Email or Phone? No Problem!
Forgetting your Facebook password and losing access to your associated email or phone number can be stressful. However, Facebook now offers a recovery option that allows you to regain access to your account, even if you no longer have access to the email or phone number linked to it. This feature helps you recover your account and regain control, providing an alternative method for restoring access.
Earlier, account recovery was done by verifying a trusted contact or identity. However, security measures have become stricter, making it more challenging to recover an account without access to the old device. We have provided a detailed explanation of all the methods to recover a locked Facebook account without needing access to the old email or phone.
1. Contact the Grievance Officer
The most reliable method to recover your Facebook account is by contacting the Grievance Officer. There are two ways to do this: one option is to complete the online form, where you will need to select from various choices regarding the reason for the account lock and the purpose of recovery, among other details.
An electronic signature is also included in the form. Alternatively, you can contact the Grievance Officer via email or post. However, Facebook advises that these channels should only be used to inquire about the grievance mechanism or the recovery process. You can find the email or postal address details through this link.
2. Self Recovery
You need to have access to a device that you've previously used to log into Facebook. This device could be your phone, computer, or even an old phone or a family member's laptop or phone, as long as you're still logged into it.
You Can Also Type This In The Browser For Recovery:
Go to facebook.com/login/identify in your browser to recover your account. Enter your email address or mobile number, either the one you use to log in or any other that might be associated with your account.
If that doesn't work, try entering the account name or username. If you're unsure of your username, ask a Facebook friend to visit your profile and share your username from the URL.
Once your account is located, click on 'No longer have access to these?' If this option isn't visible, follow Method 1 as described earlier. If you do see the option, click on it and provide the requested information, including new contact details.
Please note that the contact information provided has not been previously used for the Facebook account. Now, answer the questions to verify that the account belongs to you. Once you successfully complete the security checks, you will receive instructions to reset your password.
