Maulana Madani criticizes UP's bulldozing of Madrassas
Maulana Arshad Madani criticized the action on madrassas in UP, calling it unconstitutional and an insult to the Supreme Court's decision. He advised Muslims to build madrassas only when the land was theirs, so as to avoid bulldozers.
Measures are underway against purportedly unlawful mosques, dargahs, Eidgahs, and madrassas in multiple BJP-governed states, such as Uttar Pradesh. Over the past three months, upwards of 600 madrassas, mosques, dargahs, and Eidgahs have been demolished in UP. Concurrently, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani has condemned the Yogi administration for the actions taken against the madrassas, leveling significant accusations.
Maulana Madani labeled the efforts to close madrassas as unconstitutional, arguing that they disrespect the Supreme Court's decision. He asserted that these actions are part of a scheme to weaken their vital resources. Additionally, he urged Muslims to set up madrasas.
Maulana Arshad Madani said, "Notices are coming about madrasas in UP, madrasas are being closed. First the Assam government had taken action against the madrasas, they had to go there and hold a rally, then Uttarakhand, then Uttar Pradesh, now the Haryana government has started sending notices to Panipat and different places. "Those who think madrasas mean reading and teaching books are wrong. The role of madrassas is deeply ingrained in the roots of this country. For 250 years, Hindus, Muslims, Jains, all were slaves in this country. If there is a jihad for freedom, it has come out of madrasas in 1803. "
"If voices have been raised against the British, they have come out of madrasas. Madrasas that fought for freedom today are said to have taught terrorism. "There are bulldozers today. The madrasas that are being bulldozed are the ones who fought for freedom. Why is the government after madrasas? We have nothing to do with politics. Madrasas are not our world, they are our religion. "

Maulana Arshad Madani said, "Whoever wants to build a mosque or waqf should ensure that the land is clean, there is no interference of the government, otherwise no one will be able to stop the bulldozer from running."
