Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday slammed the opposition over the development work done by the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. He said that no one can put a speed-breaker in the development of the state. The Kashigaon-Dahisar metro line is going to be opened for passengers soon, which will reduce congestion on the Western Express Highway and provide relief to the passengers.
On Wednesday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis fiercely criticized opposition parties, asserting that no obstacles can hinder the development efforts undertaken by the Mahayuti government's three parties in the state. When questioned about the possibility of the factions led by Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar joining forces with the NCP, Fadnavis responded, "Our Vikas Express is underway. No one can obstruct its progress. If the opposition wishes to provide support, that's a separate issue. There is no room for hindrances here."
Kashigaon-Dahisar Metro line in final phase
He mentioned that the Kashigaon-Dahisar Metro line is nearing the completion of technical evaluations and will soon be accessible to passengers, aiding in alleviating traffic on the Western Express Highway and offering significant relief to commuters. Highlighting Metro Rail as the optimal form of urban transportation, CM Fadnavis stated, "We have already launched several lines reaching Andheri, and with the start of this phase, travelers will experience considerable relief."

He mentioned that a noteworthy aspect of this project is the construction of a double-decker bridge in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) for the first time during this phase. This development is particularly crucial for alleviating congestion in areas such as Mira-Bhayandar.
The CM outlined ambitious plans for further expansion and said that soon it will be possible to travel by metro till Virar. He emphasized on the importance of integrating various metro rail lines so that people can get end-to-end solutions through this medium. Praising the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for initiating the project, the CM vowed to speed up the work.
