Aam Aadmi Clinics in Punjab renamed Ayushman Arogya Kendras

The Punjab government has had to rename the Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics initiated by the state administration. The Aam Aadmi Party had conducted an intense campaign not just in the state, but also in Delhi.

The central government, led by Narendra Modi, played a key role in renaming the Aam Aadmi Clinics. Due to the central government's influence, these clinics are now called Ayushman Arogya Kendra.

Rajesh Chaudhary, a BJP leader and former chairman of Nangal Municipal Council, stated that the central government allocated Rs 438 crore under the National Health Mission scheme. However, the Punjab government used this fund to establish Aam Aadmi Clinics.

Upon learning about this, the central government halted the next installment of Rs 546 crore allocated to the Punjab government under the National Health Mission.

It is important to note that there has been an ongoing conflict between the Punjab government and the Center regarding this issue for quite some time. Ultimately, the Punjab government had to comply with the Central Government's directives, resulting in the renaming of Aam Aadmi Clinics to Ayushman Arogya Kendra and the announcement of the release of funds provided by the Central Government.
