CM Bhupendra Patel Launches 'Chalo, Kumbh Chale' Yatra for Gujarat Pilgrims

With Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's leadership, the Prayagraj AC Volvo bus service has been initiated to facilitate the pilgrimage to Prayagraj Mahakumbh for devotees from Gujarat.

According to a statement from the CMO, the chief minister launched the service by waving off the first bus from the Gandhinagar circuit house, signaling the start of the 'Chalo, Kumbh Chale' yatra.

In line with Indian culture and tradition, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, accompanied by Transport Minister Harsh Sanghvi, honored the devotees on the inaugural bus and wished them a pleasant journey. Minister Harsh Sanghvi stated in the announcement that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel appreciated the enthusiastic reaction from the people of Gujarat.

The state government announced that online bookings fill up within hours of opening. To accommodate more pilgrims, additional buses will be arranged under the Chief Minister's guidance to ensure proper facilities, including accommodation, so that passengers experience no inconvenience during their journey.

Currently, the AC Volvo bus will leave from Ranip ST depot in Ahmedabad at 7 am daily. The package, costing Rs 8100 per person for 3 nights and 4 days, covers bus travel and accommodation. As part of a joint effort between the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation and the Tourism Corporation, pilgrims will be housed at the hostel of the Gujarat Pavilion in Prayagraj.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was joined by Rita Patel, Mayor Meeran Patel, city and district organization office bearers, Principal Secretary of Tourism Dr. Rajendra Kumar, MD Anupam Anand, and senior officials from ST Corporation.
