Pledge to take Rajasthan's economy to 350 billion
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, while addressing the discussion before the presentation of the budget 2025-26 held in two sessions, said that there is immense potential for industry in the state and the industry and service sector contribute three-fourths to Rajasthan's economy. The state government is creating a conducive environment for both these sectors so that the resolve of taking the state's economy to 350 billion can be fulfilled. After due examination of the suggestions of the delegates, every effort will be made to incorporate them in the forthcoming Budget 2025-26.
New momentum for economic direction in the state
In the very first year of its tenure, the state government took decisions like organizing the Rising Rajasthan Summit, implementing new policies for the economic sector, making big investment agreements, which gave a new impetus to the economic direction in the state. Due to the efforts of the state government, Rajasthan is making a special identity in all fields like industrial development, investment, health, education, tourism. Due to the investment friendly policies of the state, registration of MSMEs is increasing rapidly. In the last one year, about 5 lakh micro, small and medium enterprises have been registered and Rajasthan is fourth in the registration of MSME units and the state has also become the leading state in solar and wind power generation.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal said that the government has strengthened the state's economy by efficient financial management in the short term, due to which the growth rate of GSDP has been recorded at 12.56 percent in 2024 and the state's capital expenditure has also been increased by 65.94 percent. The Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme-2024 has been introduced, which will promote balanced and inclusive development and employment opportunities in the state. The Government of Rajasthan is committed to the development of agriculture and farmers. The government has transferred an amount of Rs 650 crore to the bank accounts of 66 lakh farmers as an additional installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi.
