A dense fog blanketed the national capital as a cold wave caused temperatures to drop. The Indian Meteorological Department reported that Delhi recorded a temperature of 11.6 degrees Celsius at 5:30 a.m.

The forecasted temperature is 8 degrees Celsius, with a high expected to reach 19 degrees Celsius, accompanied by thick fog in the city. The dense fog caused disruptions in railway operations, leading to delays for several trains departing from Delhi railway station.

Approximately 25 trains, such as the Poorva Express, Vikramshila Express, RJPB Tejas Express, Patalkot Express, Mewar Express, and others, are experiencing delays.

Young Girl Passes Away on Train

Several trains are delayed due to fog, resulting in the tragic death of a one-year-old girl on a train that arrived late. The family was traveling on the Humsafar train from Barauni to New Delhi, intending to take their ailing daughter to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi for treatment.

However, the Humsafar train was delayed by approximately 5-6 hours from its scheduled time. Upon lodging a complaint at Aishbagh station, the medical team examined the girl, but unfortunately, the child had already passed away.

Train running late, passengers upset

The train is delayed because of fog. The reduced visibility has caused the train to slow down.

Many trains have been cancelled or rerouted at Ayodhya railway station due to heavy fog. In Delhi, passengers are waiting for hours at the railway station in the intense cold, causing them distress.
