Telangana CM Advocates for Telugu Film Industry
CM Revanth Reddy meets Tollywood actors and actresses during a meeting and assures full support by the government to the film industry. He also assures during the meeting that there will be no compromise on law and order. He also stated that industry should be responsible and celebrities should control their fans.
The meeting was held in Hyderabad at Telangana state police command and control centre at Banjara hills.
With the political leaders there were many celebrities present like Nagarjuna, Varun Tej , Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyan Ram, Shiva Balaji, Nitin and Adavi Sesh And few directors were also present their like Anil Ravipudi, Prashanth Varma, Sai Rajesh along with producers like KL Narayan, Suresh babu, Damodhar,Allu Aravind , China babu and BVSN Prasad.
On December 4 when there was premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya theatre, Actor Allu Arjun attended the premier. He waved to fans from his car sunroof and to catch the glimpse of actor massive crowd gathered there. The situation got out of control and event turned into a tragic accident leaving one woman dead and injuries to her kid.
Following the incident, Actor Allu Arjun got arrested for the incident after which he was later got bail after furnishing Rs 50,000 Bond. He was questioned by the police following the incident.
The controversy turned into political controversy when Telengana CM Revanth Reddy blamed the actor Allu Arjun for the incident but actor denied all the allegations on him and stated this as “character assassination”. State police now denied all the permissions for any event to the Sandhya Theatre due to the safety concerns.
