Tamil Nadu CM and President of DMK, MK Stalin shows confidence before the 2026 elections of assembly. He also quoted that his party would form government for the seventh time in the state, with the help of alliance they would get sum of 200 seats to form the government.

Addressing party workers in Kancheepuram constituency today, CM Stalin stressed the DMK's commitment to the welfare of the people in the last three years, as well as highlighted the implementation of various schemes "unmatched by any other state government" in the country.

In the previous assembly election of 2021, the DMK-led alliance formed the government by securing 159 seats out of 234 seats in the state.

During a rally MK Stalin said that his target is to form DMK government again for the 7th time in the state, via the alliance they'll win 200 constituencies, because they have worked hard and for the development of the state in the last 3 years. Further more, he claimed to launch the most schemes in his government in comparison to others. He added that the alliance formed in the year 2019 has proven to be a god decision as it was an ideological alliance and ever since then the government has been alliance winning both parliamentary elections and local body elections as well.

Stalin quoted that a lot of people are making calculations in order to deform this alliance made by the DMK, and is going to be proved wrong because their alliance would be victorious. Previously on that day, the CM held a meeting with 800 members including the MK Stalin as well. The meeting was held at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam in Chennai. Party passed 12 resolutions, which was called out by DMK leader TKS Elangovan, who was the former Rajya Sabha member and the DMK leader, called out 12 resolutions. He appreciated CM Stalin and the ministers of the state for the implementation of the precautionary measures while the cyclonic storm 'Phangal.'

DMK also condemned the alleged remark of being 'derogatory' given by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on BR Ambedkar while debate in Rajya Sabha upon the Constitution.
