After expanding the Maharashtra government's cabinet, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that the government plans to introduce 20 bills in the upcoming winter session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly session will be held in Nagpur from December 16 to 21.

During a press conference held at Ramgiri in Nagpur on Sunday, CM Fadnavis highlighted that 'dynamic governance' has commenced in Maharashtra from today. According to a statement from the Chief Minister's office, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde highlighted the government's commitment to 'Mission Samruddha Maharashtra', and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar assured fair development across the state.

The announcement indicated that the Assembly session will discuss 'supplementary demands,' which include the additional expenses required for the remainder of the financial year (up to March), as well as various proposals from both the government and opposition parties.

The state government is preparing to present six new bills in the legislature, and 14 ordinances are scheduled to be introduced in the Assembly for conversion into bills. On Sunday, 39 leaders from the Mahayuti coalition took the oath as ministers to enlarge the government's cabinet, with the distribution of portfolios expected to be finalized in the next few days.

CM Fadanvis said, "Today, 39 leaders were sworn in, including six ministers of state. The distribution of portfolios will be announced within two days. During this session, the Governor's address will be debated and 20 bills will be introduced".

Out of the 39 MLAs, 19 seats were allocated to BJP leaders, whereas the Shiv Sena (led by Eknath Shinde) and NCP (led by Ajit Pawar) received 11 and 9 seats respectively.

The newly appointed BJP cabinet ministers are Chandra Shekhar Bawankule, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Chandrakant Patil, Girish Mahajan, Ganesh Naik, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Jaykumar Rawat, Pankaja Munde, Atul Save, Ashok Uike, Ashish Shelar, Shivendra Raje Bhosale, Jaykumar Gore, Sanjay Savkare, Nitesh Rane, and Akash Pundkar.

The Shiv Sena leaders who were sworn in include Gulab Patil, Dada Bhuse, Sanjay Rathod, Uday Samant, Shambhuraje Desai, Sanjay Shirsath, Pratap Sarnaik, Bharatshet Gogawale, and Prakash Abitkar.

NCP leaders Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Datta Bharne, Aditi Tatkare, Manikrao Kokate, Narhari Zhirwal, Mankarand Jadhav Patil, and Babasaheb Patil have joined the cabinet. The six state ministers who were sworn in comprised Madhuri Misal, Pankaj Bhor, and Meghna Borderkar (all from BJP), Ashish Jaiswal and Yogesh Kadam (both from Shiv Sena), and Indranil Naik (from NCP).
