Six individuals lost their lives in a fire at a private hospital in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred around 10 pm on Thursday night. At the time of the fire, numerous patients were receiving treatment. They were hastily transferred to another hospital. Following the accident, 29 patients were admitted to the government hospital and another nearby private hospital. Rescue operations are ongoing after the incident. The team has successfully extinguished the fire. Meanwhile, staff and officers are inspecting the building to ensure no one is trapped inside. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Identity of the deceased will be disclosed once doctors provide confirmation, according to the District Collector.
Reports indicate that upon receiving the information, fire brigade and rescue team officials promptly arrived at the scene and initiated the rescue operation. Shortly afterward, the collector and other senior officials also reached the location. After considerable effort, the fire brigade and rescue team were able to bring the fire under control. Dindigul District Collector MN Poongodi stated that the fire erupted at the private hospital around 10 am.
