CM Dhami Announces Uttarakhand as First State to Adopt Yoga Policy
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday announced that Uttarakhand is striving to become the first state in India to implement a dedicated yoga policy. He emphasized that this policy will play an important role in integrating Ayurveda and Yoga in the healthcare sector. With more than 250 stalls, the expo showcases the growing recognition of Ayurveda across the globe. The Chief Minister also said that the conference will promote new opportunities while facilitating mutual knowledge sharing and research in the field of Ayurveda.

Addressing the 10th Ayurveda Conference and Arogya Expo 2024 at Parade Ground, CM Dhami expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it is a matter of pride for Uttarakhand to host this event. He highlighted the participation of delegates from 50 countries and more than 3,000 experts, which underlines the global recognition of Ayurveda.

The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government has implemented the Uttarakhand AYUSH policy to promote health, education, research and production of medicinal plants. He further announced that, in the coming years, the state is committed to launch AYUSH teleconsultation services and set up 50 new yoga and wellness centres. Dhami announced that the state government has urged the Ministry of AYUSH to set up an All India Institute of Ayurveda in Uttarakhand, which will serve as a landmark institute for Ayurveda education and research.
